OVERALL: Draw
All UK 4K Remaster releases, the Australian Remastered, and the German 4K Remaster Limited Edition, all have a 4K restoration approved by the cinematographer and a combination of new and old extras. The UK & German Limited Editions also include the soundtrack, and the UK Limited Edition includes a UHD copy.
The US/Canadian Criterion release has a different 4K restoration approved by the director and several unique extras.
The UK Optimum & Australian Umbrella releases have an older transfer with some differing extras, including a documentary excerpt not included on any other release.
The French 2021 re-release has a 4K transfer, ports the extra from the previous French release, adds a new exclusive extra and adds some interviews found on the Optimum/Studio Canal releases. -
