Currently the only release available which can be only bought at Code Red's website through their contact section.

GENERAL NOTES:
There were 2 different openings for the film. The first opening, when it was released on video from New World, starts out with a text about the history of the Wendigo. The other opening had a short sequence of a young man running through the woods, being chased. He is then confronted while backed up to a tree by someone, or something, holding a sharpened wooden stake. We then see is the stake and it gets punctured through his stomach. It exits out his back and then the camera focuses on the victim's face with a drip of blood exiting his mouth. Then it cuts to the Wendigo text. According to Bill Hunt of Code Red, he reached out to director, Jim Makichuk, to see what the deal was and it turned out the second opening was not part of the original cut. 2 years after the film was shot the distributors shot an extra scene to promote overseas sales. Makichuk did not approve the scene, but it still got distributed anyway. The version on DVD from Code Red is the director's intended version with the first opening.
