Notes:This version utilizes a master for the American "The Grim Reaper" version with the American opening title sequence and library music score with cut scenes added from an inferior video source.
Some scenes not dubbed into German have burnt-in German subtitles on both tracks. Bad transfer: Some scenes that were cut from the master prints, have been taken from a VHS source. You will notice a significant jump in quality (which is already bad). - Specifications to be confirmed

There's one mastering error on the "Disc 1" (Original Italian version): The movie starts with the young couple on the beach getting killed by Anthropophagous, but then AFTER that, the opening credits start to roll, and we see the couple walking through the village down to the beach (though they have been killed only second before). -

OVERALL: Draw
Between the R0 Severin, R1 2-disc SE, R2 Italian 2-Disc set by "Beat Records" and the R2 Austrian release.
R1 SE and R2 Italian releases have both English and Italian audio (original score) with English subtitles, and some good extra features (English friendly).
The R2 Austrian release includes a slightly longer cut of the film (compared to the Italian-release at least) and audio commentary (probably not English friendly) with some additional minor extras, but it does not include the Italian audio track for the film.
Two versions of this film exist:
(1.) Uncut original version (92 minutes NTSC = 88 minutes PAL).
(2.) US R-rated version (85 minutes NTSC = 82 minutes PAL).
A comparison between the cut and uncut versions can be found at Movie Censorship but note that it includes some explicit material.
