Only minor differences. Note however that the US release also includes a sing-along song and the Brother Bear 2.
General notes about the aspect ratio:
"Brother Bear" actually used two different aspect ratios on the big screen. The first 24 minutes featured 1.85:1, while the rest of the movie is 2.35:1. On DVD/Blu-ray, the image doesn't "shrink" from 1.85:1 to 2.35:1, instead, the former scenes come windowboxed, so when the 2.35:1 material starts, the image indeed expands the sides of the presentation. -
