For reasons known only to themselves, Fox have chosen to release the shorter US theatrical version on their R2 DVD instead of the longer UK theatrical version. -
CUTS:
- R1 America- Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment - No cuts - includes the US theatrical version (runtime 98:38 NTSC) and the UK theatrical version (runtime 105:39 NTSC). The UK version contains two extra scenes, starting at 89:49, with a total run time of 6:59. The first scene (5:35) is between Barry Newman and Charlotte Rampling (playing a pot-smoking hitchhiker); the second scene (1:24) features Barry Newman the morning after his meeting with Charlotte Rampling. (Keen-eyed readers will note the 2 seconds discrepancy in timings.)
