OVERALL: Blu-ray B
The UK release for including two versions of the film and extras.
Note on the theatrical version (from the UK BD):
Prior to its original theatrical release, thirty-seven minutes of footage was removed from Boetticher's cut of Bullfighter and the Lady, reducing it to the required length for inclusion in a double bill.
The resulting cut contains many unique elements, including scenes that have been assembled differently, re-timed transitions, and altered audio, making it not just a shorter version, but also an intriguing historical variant.
In order to present this theatrical cut authentically, we have opted to source it in its entirety from a rare original NTSC VHS edition. As a result, both image and sound exhibit the technical limitations of the format. -
CUTS:
- Blu-ray A America- Olive Films - No cuts - Complete version (124:58)
- Blu-ray A Canada- Olive Films - No cuts - Complete version (124:58)
- Blu-ray B United Kingdom- Powerhouse Films - No cuts - Includes the complete version (124:41) and the theatrical version (87:22)
