OVERALL: R0
The UK 88 Films release for the anamorphic transfer with the most extras.
GENERAL NOTES:
The film exists in at least three versions:
- the original release under the titles "Communion" and "Alice Sweet Alice" (107:05);
- the 1981 "Holy Terror" re-release cut moved up Brooke Shields' credit in the opening titles and made other slight alterations (107:13);
- the 1997 director's cut that tightened the pacing as well as removing a sequence featuring a phone call from the current wife of Alice's father (~102 minutes). Subsequent official DVDs and Blu-rays did not recreate these alterations. -
