Between the French "Collector" edition and the Japanese edition, since they offer all the original "Saint Seiya" episodes as well as the original Japanese soundtrack.

However note :
- none of these is English friendly,
- the final (73th) episode is missing on the Japanese "Part 3" boxset. This episode is offered on the "Part 4" boxset (currently unlisted, since its specifications are unconfirmed). This box also contains the beginning of the season 2 of the show.
- French CE and Japanese editions have no extras, except booklets (minor extras can be found on R1 standalone volumes and R2 France "Knights of the Zodiac").

This series has been issued several times in the US by ADV (censored Knights of the Zodiac version, standalone volumes, Collection 1+2), but none of these editions went until the end of the show, due to rights issues regarding the last 13 episodes.
The recently released "Sanctuary Classic Complete Collection" (specs to be confirmed) seems to finally offer all the episodes.


The following versions of the show are known:
- The original and uncut "Saint Seiya" version,
- The "Knights of the Zodiac" heavily censored version.
