OVERALL: Draw
The Holland, Scandinavia, UK, and Australia Special Editions for the additional DTS track.
The Chinese release has DTS-ES and Dolby Digital EX tracks but lacks the bonus disc.
Note the US Collector's Edition also includes the mono track, created for theaters not equipped for stereo playback. Also note both US releases have some alterations from the original theatrical version found on other region DVDs. The US VHS, LaserDisc and Blu-ray releasees have the original, unaltered theatrical version.
NOTE:
The original score was by William Walton, but because he only composed approximately twenty minutes of music (and soundtrack LPs required approximately 30-45 minutes) only a short snatch was used in the film, in the decisive final battle after which the Germans gave up. The studio commissioned Ron Goodwin to compose a longer score so they could exploit it more on the OST LP. -
