OVERALL: Draw

Between the US R1, German R2, UK R2 and Australian R4 3-disc "Director´s Cut" for complete setup of extras (only difference between these are bonus trailers and subtitles) and the R2 Scandinavian 3-disc set which has a DTS audio track, but loses some of the extras on the German and US sets that only has DD 5.1

Note also that the now OOP R4 has a additional comic book and 35mm film frames, and R1 "Collectible DVD Gift Set" has "Hellboy" sculpture.

If you´re a real fan of the film, you might want to have the original release for the following reasons:
-"Theatrical Cut" of the film
-Original audio commentary by Guillermo del Toro & Mike Mignola
-Cast members audio commentary in a "regular form"
-“From the Den" -animated shorts
