OVERALL: Draw
The Ultimate Edition has more extras but Tempe's retail Collector's Edition drops several extras from the DVD side including earlier transfers as well as the podcast commentary track but adds the other tracks to a fullscreen transfer of the 2K remaster and also includes the commentary from the UK release which was not included on the ultimate edition.
Also note the German R2 also contains the original version, with additional extras including a longer "Frightvision 2000" featurette and a different commentary. The choice is yours. -

- R0 Ultimate Edition America- Tempe Digital - No cuts. Include the 2K-mastered restored version in 1.33:1 and 1.78:1 (78:34), the 2005 remastered version (78:18 NTSC), and the original 1990 VHS version (81:42 NTSC).
- R0 Special Edition Germany- Astro - No cuts. Original Cut (81:42 mins PAL).
- R0 United Kingdom- Crypt Keeper - No cuts. Original Cut.
