OVERALL: R2
The Polyband version has an interview and a 5.1 option (the film was shot in 70mm with 4-track stereo sound but we do not know if the 5.1 is derived from the 4-channel or an upmix of the mono).
GENERAL NOTES:
Both parts of the film were cut together in some territories for initial theatrical release while a combined cut running only 110 minutes was not released in West Germany until 1976 as "Das Schwert der Nibelungen". -
CUTS:
- R2 Die Nibelungen 1+2 Germany- Polyband - No cuts (86:16 PAL)
- R2 Die Nibelungen 1+2 Germany- Universum Film - No cuts (85:45 PAL)
