Notes:The print looks like it is transferred from video - the picture is a little dark and suffers from ghosting. Also, the sound has a background hiss.
There is a rumour that a bootleg print bearing the working title "The Creeper" has been circulating and includes some scenes of violence cut from the R-rated release, in order to avoid an X-rating (IMDB).

OVERALL: Draw
R-rated version - Scream Factory for the extras & superior transfer.
Unrated version - CMV Laservision, though the transfer is far inferior to the US one.
GENERAL NOTES:
There are a few versions of this film:
(1) The original R-rated US theatrical cut (84 minutes).
(2) The overseas cut of the film titled "Campsite Massacre" or "Carnivore" with an additional shot of gore during the attack on the skinny-dipping couple (~84 minutes)
(3) The television version (~85 minutes) titled simply "Final Terror" which presents the opening credits at the start on black followed by a 1.5 minute sequence introducing the couple soon to be murdered in the theatrical version's pre-credits sequence (and includes an additional shot of the girl's body on the ground with a shot of the obscured killer added from a later sequence).
(4) A rumored extended version titled "The Creeper" that includes the additional gore from the "Carnivore" version and the extended TV bits. -
CUTS:
- R0 America- 905 Entertainment - No cuts - R-rated U.S. theatrical version
- R1 America- Shout! Factory - No cuts - R-rated U.S. theatrical version (83:48 NTSC)
- R2 Germany- CMV Laservision - No cuts - Uncut version of the film with the full (longer) sex scene followed by the full uncut knife death that is shortened in the US versions of the film (80:25 PAL).
