Just updated the Lawman comparison & realised that the US 'PG' version on dvd & The UK/European version contain different takes of the Sheree North/Burt Lancaster bedroom scene.North's breasts are covered throughout in the 'PG' version & clearly visible on the 'International' version.Michael Winner had also done this with Chato's Land:
'PG' version (US DVD):

Interesting, Mark! I was aware that there were differences between the US and Euro cuts of this, but was under the belief that the US and Euro DVDs both contained the US 'covered' version of this scene.Mark_Meakin wrote:Just updated the Lawman comparison & realised that the US 'PG' version on dvd & The UK/European version contain different takes of the Sheree North/Burt Lancaster bedroom scene.North's breasts are covered throughout in the 'PG' version & clearly visible on the 'International' version.Michael Winner had also done this with Chato's Land:

I'm a big fan of this film, btw.

Yes Along with Ulzana's Raid this is one of my favourite westerns of the 70s.I was always amazed the suicide of Lee J Cobb was left intact in the 'PG' version, along with the back shooting of J D Cannon, when Lancaster shoots him & he coughs up blood. The violence is identical to that in the 'International' cut,or I certainly didn't notice anything that stood out.Chato's Land had the alternate clothed shots in the 'PG' version during the rape & following captivity of Bronson's wife, but was also missing violent footage throughout.

That's fairly typical of American censorship habits. It's all good to show blood and dismemberment but breasts are evil and must be hidden from view! haha
