PENTATHLON (First viewing, YouTube) - 5.5/10
I got to see the trailer at the cinema and felt it was boring. I was right. The film, which got a theatrical release, has a contrived plot and feels like it was made-for-TV. Lundgren did not make many memorable movies during his heyday. This was definitely not one of those few and could have been the lowest point in his middling career.
I quite like Lundgren and this BD is available cheap but I won't ever add this into my collection.

Re: What did you watch today?
Mystery (TV)
Good Chinese movie with a "triangle" love story, I really liked it - 7/10.
Elizabeth (US Blu)
The portray of the Frenchman played by Vincent Cassel is really unbearable, this really plagues the movie. Besides the under average picture quality doesn't help. Not a bad movie, but rather disappointed… 7/10
A Most Wanted Man (Theater)
Great performance by Philip Seymour Hoffman in his last role. I liked the slow rhythm and the realistic tone - 7/10
Battle Royale (UK Blu)
One of my "cult" movies, you never know if you should laugh or cry. Characters are so dumb than watching them getting slaughtered is really fun.
10/10
Shameless #4 (TV)
Another brilliant season for this hilarious/dramatic show. Always more or less the same situations, but watching these characters trying to do the best of their lives in a difficult environment is always exciting - 8/10

Berberian Sound Studio (TV)
Really disappointing, this could have been a good tribute to giallo, but not much happens - 4/10.
Frances Ha (TV)
Entertaining movie, quite different from what we usually see - 7/10.
Elizabeth : Golden Age (US Blu)
For me, this is significantly better than the first movie (and the much improved picture quality of this BR also helps) - 8/10.
Avant l'Hiver (TV)
Another one of these OK movies, but that won't last long in my memory. Good actors, you always want to see what's going next, but it never takes off - 6/10.
La Danza de la Realidad (TV)
Jodorowsky shot too few movies, but most can be considered as masterpieces : Santa Sangre, El Topo, Holy Mountain. This autobiography is no exception : disturbing, daring, poetic… a fascinating vision of historical events that occurred in Chile during Jodorowsky's childhood - 8/10.
